Mark and Cathy Simon of Berthoud are please to announce the engagement of their daughter Megan to Patrick Chester, both of Phillipsburg, Kan. The bride-to-be is a 2004 graduate of Berthoud High School and attended Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, Wyo., studying Equine Training/Business Management. She is currently employed in the billing department at Coomes Trucking, in Phillipsburg.

The groom-to-be is the son of Rick and Robin Chester of Phillipsburg, Kan. He is a 2005 graduate of Phillipsburg High School and attended Laramie County Community College, where he also studied Equine Training/Business Management. Patrick runs a Quarter Horse and Red Angus ranch with his father.

Megan and Patrick met while at college. They will be married Jan. 10, 2009 at the Marriott in Fort Collins, Colo.
