BHS Teacher Receives Leadership Award

Berthoud High School English teacher Brendan Gallagher has earned the Pearson Prentice Hall Leadership Development Award for 2008-2009. The award, which was created by the National Council of Teachers of English and funded by Pearson Prentice Hall publishers, is given to one early-career English teacher in each state who has already demonstrated professional leadership. Monday, Nov. 17, 2008 BFPD assisted with a medical call on Welch Ave. for a patient complaining of difficulty breathing and dizziness. The patient was transported. BFPD responded to a citizen assist for a residence on Redwood Circle. There was concern of a possible chemical leak. Nothing was found. Police Beat: Nov. 27, 2008

Monday, Nov.  17 The staff at the wastewater treatment plant reported damage to the gate, apparently the result of criminal mischief over the weekend. A Berthoud High School student was at school under the influence of alcohol and was arrested and charged with underage consumption of ethyl alcohol.   Tuesday, Nov.  18 Police found an abandoned motorcycle on Longview Ave. at approximately 10:30 p.m. The cycle was registered to an owner nearby on South Ninth St. No one responded to ...
