LONGMONT –– Premier Gymnastics’ Emma Appelmann took first place on the balance beam in Level 6 during the Airborne Fall Classic on Nov. 15 and 16.

Appelmann, a Berthoud resident, also took second place on the floor exercise, fourth on the vault and fourth in the senior age division all-around. Berthoud’s Tatum Graham finished third in the junior age division all-around. She also finished second on the vault and fourth on the floor exercise.

Level 6’s Katherine Bosnich earned fifth place on the balance beam. The Level 6 team placed second overall, Level 4 finished third and Level 5 was fourth.

Annual Loveland Turkey Trot Scheduled

LOVELAND — The seventh-annual Loveland Turkey Trot will take place Thanksgiving morning, beginning at 8 a.m. with the Free Kids Gobbler Trek.

The 5K race, which begins at 8 a.m., will start on Hoffman Drive just north of McKee Medical Center. It will proceed north to 37^th St. to the bike path at Boyd Lake before turning south and heading back to 18^th St. where it will finish up at McKee.

Registration is $30 for adults; $15 for kids. Team registration for three or more is $30.

Berthoud Recreation Registering for Winter Season

Berthoud Recreation is registering for little dribblers –– for grades Kindergarten thru second grade –– and youth basketball –– for grades third thru fifth.

Registration will be held from Dec. 1 through Dec. 25. Cost is $45 for residents and $55 for non-residents.
