Sports Briefs: Long Tops Field at Turkey Trot

LOVELAND — Neil Long won the 7th annual Loveland Turkey Trot on Thursday. He ran the 5k event in 16 minutes, 34 seconds. Tim Jones took top honors in the male master division in 17:58. In female competition, Laura Tremblay, a standout runner at Thompson Valley High School, won in 18:50. By Michael Hicks Berthoud Recorder Kiah Leonard and Ally Klaes earned their right to run at this weekend’s AAU Youth Cross Country National Championships in Decatur, Ala. By P.J. Dipentino For the past eight years I have had turkey in Tulsa. Every Thanksgiving weekend the best BMX riders from all over the world travel to Tulsa, Okla. for the ABA BMX Grand Nationals.
