Dan Laszlo will present “Lunar Highlights.” Earth’s Moon is close enough to enjoy without extra gear. Add small binoculars or a telescope to uncover the traces of the Moon’s violent past. He will share images of the Moon’s subtly shifting face, and the February 2008 total lunar eclipse. He will also give an update on lunar missions in progress.

Dec. 11, 12 & 18: “Astronomical Star of Bethlehem”
Presented by amateur astronomer Gil Buller, this program examines the sky at a time of the birth of Christ to see which astronomical phenomenon may have been the Star of Bethlehem.
Now through Dec. 31 “Season of Light”
A holiday show that investigates the origins of why we celebrate the holidays the way we do. After examining astronomical signs such as the Christmas star, solstice celebrations, and Jewish traditions, the show takes on a blend of holiday songs.
Now through Dec. 31 “Laser Nutcracker”
A laser adaptation of Tchaikovsky’s classic ballet, animated in laser light, this one-hour presentation showcases timeless music with 21st century flair.
