Resources (@ your library)
Heard about a new book on television that sounded great? Saw a book at the bookstore and didn’t have the money to pick it up? Berthoud Community Library District now has an awesome avenue available to patrons interested in discovering which new books have just arrived at the library “hot off the press”. The library catalog contains a feature called “Resource Lists” that is a monthly compilation of new books by category. Patrons can search by different subjects such as Easy, Fiction, Junior, Mystery, Nonfiction and Young Adult.
This information can be accessed 24 hours a day either in person at the library during normal business hours or via the library’s Web site. Detailed information about each book is available by clicking directly on the book title. A short synopsis of the book is included in the details along with checkout availability. A hold may be placed on any titles of interest and the circulation desk contacts patrons when titles are ready for pick up at the library. If a patron is not ready to place a hold on the title but would like to compile a list of titles that they would like to read someday, they can simply add the title to their own personal list.
Be sure to contact the library at (970) 532-2757 to set up a username and password to access this great feature or with any questions regarding use of “resource lists” or “personal lists.”
