Berthoud boys return from break victorious
By Taylor Lee Berthoud Recorder After returning from a two-week winter break, not much has changed for the Berthoud Spartan boys’ basketball team. The Spartans added another conference win, defeating Mountain View, 59-55, at home Tuesday night. Berthoud (4-4, 4-1 4A Northern Conference) started off with the lead but soon lost it. Ekart, Lady Spartans beat zone, Mountain View
By Michael Hicks Berthoud Recorder LOVELAND -- Amy Ekart scored 13 of her game-high 19 points in the second half and the Berthoud Lady Spartans returned from the Christmas break with a 46-39 win at Mountain View on Tuesday night. Ekart keyed Berthoud’s 16-point fourth quarter with nine points and the Spartans (3-2) improved to 2-0 against 4A Northern Conference competition.
