BERTHOUD – Brittany Lin Burgess recently completed an 18-month mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served on Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah for most of her mission and for a short period of time in the Portland, Ore. area.
Burgess led visitors from all over the world on tours of Temple Square. She also assisted guests with their genealogy and other family history efforts.
At the Church’s Welfare Center, Burgess taught guests about the welfare efforts of the church. She also served at the church’s Humanitarian Center, participated in the mission choir, and taught English as a second language.
“Serving my mission was the best decision I have ever made,” said Burgess. “It has changed me and prepared me for life better than anything else.”
Before serving her mission, she graduated from Berthoud High School in 2004 and from Colorado State University in 2007. She plans to enroll in graduate school in the fall.
Burgess is the daughter of Rod and Linda Burgess of Berthoud.
