Our Thanks to Berthoud

The Berthoud House of Neighborly Service would like to thank the many churches, organizations, businesses, families and individuals that supported the Christmas program this year. The generosity of our community allowed many area residents to enjoy a happy holiday season. Last year was a year of great challenge for our agency with an unprecedented number of people seeking help during this time of economic upheaval and hardship.  

The House of Neighborly Service is a resource center that provides a safety net for individuals and families as they strive to meet their goal for a self-sufficient life. Clients may receive food, clothing, prescriptions, utility assistance, emergency shelter, and transportation. Program eligibility is based on monthly income. HNS is the only area agency that dispenses all of these services under one roof.

Our mission statement, “Help for today … Hope for tomorrow”, has never been more meaningful. It is only through the kindness and generosity of our community that this agency can continue to offer much needed help and hope.
