LWV Marks 89th Anniversary

The League of Women Voters of Larimer County will mark the 89th anniversary of the founding of the national League of Women Voters this month by celebrating with a tea on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2 to 4 p.m., at the Rangeview Clubhouse, 4550 Larkbunting, Fort Collins. Big Thompson River Comment Period Opens

The Larimer County Parks Advisory Board met on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009. At the meeting, the board heard public comments on proposed options for parcels owned by Larimer County adjacent to the Hayden Subdivision, near Drakes, on the Big Thompson River. The board will continue to receive public comment for 60 days, beginning as of Feb. 10, 2009.  The public comment period will close on April 14, 2009. Discovery Science Center Launches first Virtual Space

Visitors to Discovery Science Center will be able to “Journey through the Solar System” by means of a special video conference with Space Center Houston Saturday, February 21. The interactive presentation will be offered at Noon and again at 1 pm. Rue-Nee Engagement

Mobleys to Celebrate 40th Anniversary

Lloyd and Linda Mobley will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on Feb. 19, 2009. They met at Azars Big Boy Restaurant in Denver where they both worked. They were married in 1969 in Redondo Beach, Calif. at the home of Lloyd’s mother, Dorothy. Before settling in Berthoud, they also lived in Denver, Alamosa, Loveland, California and Oregon. (more…)
