The Board of Larimer County Commissioners will appoint a new Larimer County surveyor from applications now being sought. Applications are available online at: http://www.larimer.org/surveyorApplication.cfm, or an application and be picked up at the Board of County Commissioners office at 200 West Oak St., 2nd floor, Fort Collins. Interested persons must return the application online or to the Commissioners office by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 13.
Current Commissioner Tom Donnelly resigned the surveyor position on January 7, 2009, prior to being sworn-in as Commissioner. Donnelly was elected County Surveyor in November 2006 and the new Surveyor will finish out the four-year term ending January 2011. The Surveyor receives a legislated salary of $5,500.00 and is responsible for representing the County in boundary disputes.
