TALL TRIO: 2008-09 Berthoud Recorder Winter All-Star

By Michael Hicks Berthoud Recorder Character and standing tall when faced with adversity. Those were the criteria in determining the 2008-09 Berthoud Recorder All-Star team for the winter season. One was the catalyst for a girls’ basketball team that had to replace its leading scorer from a year ago. Another was the dominant inside presence for a boys’ basketball team looking to bounce back after a 1-22 season in 2007-08. Finally, there was a wrestler who not only had the pressure of ... High-Flying Eagles Well Worth Your Money, Admiration

By Michael Hicks Berthoud Recorder Okay, as we mentioned last week, spring is here. If not officially, since spring doesn’t start for another week, then at least figuratively. And, no, we’re not talking about the Colorado Avalanche this spring — a rarity I know. We’re talking about the Colorado Eagles. The Central Hockey League ... Full Story
