Karl Honegger, a homeschooled senior from Berthoud, has been awarded the University of Northern Colorado Presidential scholarship for incoming freshmen. The merit-based scholarships for eligible in-state students range from $1,250 to $5,000 annually and are renewable for students who maintain a 3.5 GPA.
Honegger will be entering UNC this fall and hopes to major in business, finance and accounting, he noted in a recent phone interview. His favorite subjects of study, so far, have been history and government.
He is the son of Allen and Karen Honegger of Berthoud.
Congratulations and best of luck, Karl!
