Eagles Notebook: Eagles Churn Out Record-Setting

Berthoud Recorder Staff LOVELAND — Nine goals, eight players with multi-point games and Morgan Cey stopping 39 shots. With that, the Colorado Eagles pitched a 9-0 shutout of Amarillo Saturday night at the Budweiser Events Center for the largest margin of victory in franchise history. Baseball Team Struggles to Find Offense Against Niwot

By Taylor Lee Berthoud Recorder With a tournament in Montrose over spring break, the Berthoud Spartans’ baseball team knew it would have a tough matchup against the Niwot Cougars, ranked No. 2 in the state, the Friday before break began. And though the Spartans gave a good effort, they were not able to defeat the Cougars as Niwot came away with an 11-0 victory at Berthoud High School. Sports Briefs: Holst Takes 2nd at Northglenn Meet

Bailey Holst placed second in the all-around, and Premier Gymnastics of the Rockies placed seventh in the Level 7 competition at the Rocky Invitational in Northglenn on March 7-8. The meet was hosted by Gymnastics Unlimited.
