BHS Baseball Struggles at Montrose

Berthoud Recorder Staff MONTROSE — Both good and bad for the Berthoud Spartans came out of last weekend’s baseball tournament at Montrose High School. The good: a number of junior varsity players moved up to play varsity and gained valuable experience with four starters missing due to spring break. BHS Girls Tennis Match Postponed

Berthoud’s home court girls tennis match with Weld Central was postponed Monday. The match has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 7. This is the third time this season that a Lady Spartans’ tennis match has been rescheduled. A match with Sterling was postponed twice — once from Feb. 26 and again earlier this month. Berthoud's Hall Takes Taekwondo Title

Berthoud High School sophomore Cheyenne Hall won the AAU Colorado State taekwondo championship recently at Overland High School. The flyweight won the state title in the 14-17 year old colored belts division in both forms and sparring. Hall, who trains at Martinez Brothers Taekwondo in Denver, will compete at the AAU Nationals and Junior Olympics in July in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
