Board Approves TVHS Graduation Plans

Thompson School Board Briefs The Thompson School District Board of Education has approved a request from Thompson Valley High School students to hold this year’s senior graduation at Ray Patterson Field on their campus. The school board previously had arranged for seniors in the district to participate in graduation exercises at the Ranch for the convenience of those attending the ceremony. Turner Run/Walk Set for May 2

The Seventh Annual Bob Turner Classic 5K Run/Walk will take place on Saturday, May 2 beginning at 8 a.m. While announcing the upcoming event at the March 25 school board meeting, Turner Middle School teacher Curt Ranweiler said that it provides an opportunity to help local charities, including Berthoud CARES. RMFU Applauds USDA Milk Purchase

DENVER - "Rocky Mountain Farmers Union was very pleased to see USDA Secretary Vilsack's swift and positive response to the crisis in dairy farming," said RMFU President Kent Peppler, a Mead, Colo. farmer. Weld Extension Budget Settled

By Recorder Staff After months of negotiations, Colorado State Extension and Weld County have reached an agreement on funding extension programs and staff, and county commissioners voted to approve a Memorandum of Understanding. Weld County commissioners last fall addressed budget shortfalls for 4-H, county fair, family and consumer programs and master gardeners. Art Show at the Jumping Bean

The Jumping Bean Coffee House in Berthoud presents the artwork of Sue Jenkins, mother of the coffee house’s Mike Jenkins. Sue recently celebrated her 90th birthday. The Sunday, April 5 art show will feature her new work. The event starts at 1 p.m. and snacks will be served from 3-4 p.m. Jenkins’ art will be on display at the coffee house through May.
