Weather Plays Havoc on Spring Sports Schedule

By Michael Hicks Berthoud Recorder One of these days Dave Mathiesen’s girls tennis team will play Sterling. Just maybe. The foot of snow that saddled northern Colorado last Thursday postponed Friday’s match, the third time the teams were scheduled to meet but have not since the originally scheduled date was postponed back in February. Sports Briefs: Parks and Rec Coaches Meetings Set

Berthoud Parks and Recreation will be conducting a series of coaches’ meetings this week in preparation for the spring sports season. Meetings will be held today for flag football (5 p.m.) and K2 soccer (5:45 p.m.), and Friday for girls softball (5 p.m.) and youth soccer (5:45 p.m.). All meetings will be held at the Rec Department’s offices. Practices for all youth sports will begin next week. The season will start for K2 soccer, youth soccer and flag football on April 18.
