Fourteen members attended the regular Lions Club meeting Thursday, April 2. The Lion Tamer was given the floor for the first five minutes to conduct a “squeezed banana” race. Three volunteer couples participated and diligently tried to win.
Then business began:
- The club will clean up East Highway 56 on April 11 at 8:30 a.m.
- The club will sponsor the 9Health Fair at Berthoud High School on April 18 with pre-registration on April 10 and 11 at the Lions Depot.
- The 29th annual fundraiser dinner on April 27 was discussed. Tickets are distributed to the Lions. Those who had tickets last year are being contacted first again this year. The prime rib supper will be at Grace Place for $60 per couple, which includes a chance to win $1,000. Lion John Bona is ticket master. The Lions will be soliciting for door prizes the next two weeks to be distributed throughout the evening.
