Obituary: Cynthia McDonald

Cynthia June Elijah McDonald, 63, of Loveland died April 18 after a bout with cancer. She is survived by her mother June Elijah, daughter Clarissa Norris, son-in-law Todd Norris, and her grandchildren, Tionna, Tinaya and Triston Norris. McDonald lived a very simple life and played wonderfully, by ear, many different instruments, including the keyboard, piano, accordion and harmonica. She especially enjoyed spending time with her many animals and would never let any type of animal go hungry, ... Full Story

Duncan Follows BHS Pipeline to Hastings, Signs

Now they just might do the same thing for Hastings College. Mathena Retiring; School Hopes to Find AD-Only

By Michael Hicks Berthoud Recorder Rusty Mathena, who has been Berthoud High School’s athletic director for the past two years, will retire at the end of school year. Mathena, 58, has spent 29 of his 32 years coaching and teaching at Berthoud High School. He served as the school’s head football coach for 16 years.
