District Reworks Fees to Boost 9News Health Fair
By Laurie Hindman Berthoud Recorder The 9News Health Fair, sponsored by the Berthoud Lions Club, has been coming to Berthoud for 25 years; but this year it almost didn’t make it. The health fair has traditionally been held at Berthoud High School free of charge. Few parents are still volunteering 14 years after their youngest child graduates from high school. Arbor Day Assist
Pat Karspeck and Michelle Hatcher help finish up at the Arbor Day tree planting project. A small army of volunteers spent the morning digging and planting the 22 trees along Mountain Avenue. The final step was the mulching, watering and replacement of the grates. Karspeck and Hatcher fill the bucket while John Goreski and Shilo Hatcher put the finishing touches on the project.
