Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) teams from three schools of the Thompson School District traveled to Vail recently to participate in the State FBLA Leadership Conference and Competition. Members attended leadership workshops, participated in member activities and received an inspiring keynote address from Aaron Davis, noted author and businessman. In addition, students competed against 160 other Colorado high schools in events that demonstrate knowledge and workplace skills in a wide range of business categories.

Christopher Duhadway, Katie Kuhn and Chad Schlagel, who attend Berthoud High School, competed in Business Law, Economics, and Computer Applications, respectively. When asked for his impression of the conference, Duhadway said, “That was awesome!” Kuhn said the conference was a great  opportunity to meet members from other FBLA chapters with similar ambitions. “It was really great getting to listen to the keynote speaker,” said Schlagel.
