The Berthoud Lions Club held their annual fundraiser on Monday, April 27 at Grace Place Church. The facilities were very good for the crowd, and compliments go to the cook and staff because the meal was very good and was served quickly.
About 40 door prizes were given out during the drawing, with values from $10 to $100. Thanks go to all those who contributed. The gag gifts were homemade and enjoyed.
Representatives of the last five remaining contestants for the door prizes were called to the front for the big finale. They were Brad Pickert, Cleta Elder, Bill Roberts, Rex Eland and Linda Marsolek. The two winning contestants — Bill Roberts and Cleta Elder –– agreed to split the $1,000 prize.
Members of the Lions Club wish to thank everyone for their continued support, so they can continue to help those less fortunate by providing eye exams and glasses, collecting used glasses, supporting the handicapped camp at Woodland Park for special populations, co-sponsoring the 9Health Fair, awarding scholarships, maintaining the Loan Closet, and supporting the Lions Eye Bank and Eye Institute.
