Champion Closing Berthoud Facilities

By Shari Phiel Berthoud Recorder Champion Enterprises, Inc., the modular home builder based out of Troy, Mich., announced late last week that it would be closing the doors of its Berthoud facility, operating as Genesis Homes and Summit Crest Homes, by the end of July. Champion, which is also closing another facility in Woodland, Calif., announced the decision as a result of declining sales revenues. Finding Affordable Health Care: Public Forum Defines

County Briefs: Restaurant and Grocery Store License

Licensing fees for restaurants and other retail food establishments will rise as of July 1 according to the Larimer County Department of Health and Environment.  All food license fees are established in law by the state legislature. The Berthoud Farmers Market begins its 2009 season Thursday, June 25, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Railroad Park in downtown Berthoud.
