DUI Checkpoints in Larimer County this Weekend

Impaired driving is one of America's most frequently committed, deadliest and preventable crimes. With that in mind, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting a roving DUI checkpoint during the weekend of June 13-14. The checkpoint will be at various locations in Larimer County and is intended to remove impaired and intoxicated drivers from Larimer County roadways. State News: Report: Green Job Growth Doubles Regular

A new report finds that clean energy jobs in Colorado have grown at a rate that is twice as fast as overall job growth. The report, by The Pew Charitable Trusts, finds that in 2007, the number of jobs in the sector had risen by more than 18 percent during the prior 10 years, to include more than 17,000 jobs in the state. Shear Fascination

By Shari Phiel Berthoud Recorder While most people were attending the Berthoud Day festivities at Town Park last Saturday, Barbara and Jay Byrd of Luna Nueva Ranch spent several hours during the day shearing the majority of their alpaca herd. The Byrds, along with alpacas from two other local ranches, brought in a shearing expert for the day to clip a total of over 40 animals.
