Cheese Plant Meeting
The Larimer County Agricultural Advisory Board and the Weld County Extension service are co-hosting an informational meeting regarding a cheese manufacturing plant under construction in Weld County.
The meeting takes place on Wednesday, July 8 at 5:30 p.m. at the Thomas M. McKee 4-H, Youth & Community Building at The Ranch, I-25 and Crossroads Blvd, Loveland, www.Larimer.org/TheRanch. The public is welcome and refreshments will be served.
The cheese plant will be owned and operated by Leprino Foods Company, headquartered in Denver. Mike Reidy, senior vice president of procurement, logistics and business development, will provide information about plans for the plant including its processing capacity, the projected timeline for beginning operations, and how the plant will work with area dairy producers and the community.
Reidy serves on the Boards of the International Dairy Foods Association and the National Cheese Institute of which he is also the current chairman. Farmers Agents Complete Career Agents Course
Dana Pinson of Longmont and Kyle Morrell of Loveland, local agents for Farmers Insurance Group, have completed the Career Agents Course at the University of Farmers.
The University of Farmers training facility located in Agoura Hills, Calif. is national in scope, and offers training to Farmers’ 14,000 agents and their staff, 500 district managers and 10,000 claims staff year round.
