The Berthoud Area Chamber of Commerce offices are sporting a new look these days — a “For Rent” sign in the window. Chamber Executive Director Don Dana is making good on his plans to expand and enhance the services the Chamber provides to both its business members and visitors to Berthoud’s historic downtown.
The BACC will move into their headquarters across the street to 344 Mountain Ave. by the end of September. And they already have good neighbors — the Gifts from the Guild shop, which shares building space at that address. The other half of the building recently opened up when CPA Roger Bates consolidated his offices to Loveland. The lovely red brick building seemed perfect for the Chamber’s aspirations for the future.
“It’s a great place to expand and diversify,” Dana said, adding that one part of the facility will be their central offices, while the adjacent gift shop will be the future home of a homey visitor’s center.
Dana said the combination is bound to be “really neat,” and will offer visitors a place to “come in, have a cup of coffee, get a member directory,” learn about area recreation and have their questions answered. He also hopes to keep the gift shop area and possibly continue working with local artisans to feature their works in the center.
The new location is also central, which Dana describes as “where it will all look good and feel good.”
