The Berthoud High School football team is selling 20-pound crates of fresh peaches to raise money for the purchase of an end-zone camera.
Cost is $45 per each 20-pound crate purchased. When ordering, make out the check to Palisade High School. The peaches will be delivered from Palisade to Berthoud on Aug. 15. Deadline for placing orders is Aug. 11.

WWE Event Set for Saturday Night
The postponed World Wrestling Entertainment event from May is scheduled for Saturday night, 7:30 p.m. at the Budweiser Events Center.
In the main event, WWE champion Randy Orton will defend his title against the winner of a 12-man battle royal. United States champion Kofi Kingston will put his title on the line against Jack Swagger. Other wrestlers scheduled for the card include The Big Show, MVP, Carlito, Primo, Mark Henry, Ted Dibiase, Cody Rhodes, The Miz, Evan Bourne, Chavo Guerrero, Hornswoggle, Beth Phoenix, Rosa, Kelly Kelly and Mickie James.

Sting Softball Teams Tryouts this Weekend
The Sting fast-pitch softball club is holding tryouts for its 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U competitive teams Saturday and Sunday at Barnes Complex in Loveland. The tryouts will be on Field #5.
Tryouts are scheduled on Saturday from 1-4 p.m. for 18U and 3-6 p.m. for 16U. On Sunday, 14U will hold their tryouts from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. and 12U will be held from 1-3 p.m.
Participants who can’t make Saturday’s tryouts may come out on Sunday.
Registration starts 30 minutes prior to each tryout. Parents must sign the registration form. There is no tryout fee.

BHS Boys Golf Team to Hold Meeting, Tryout
The Berthoud High School boys golf team will hold tryouts and a team meeting Monday at Marina Butte Golf Course in Loveland.
The team meeting will start at 2:45 p.m., followed by a qualifying round. Participants should be prepared to golf 18 holes.
Cost is $6 and players must provide their own warm-up range balls.

Borsheim Golf Tournament Scheduled
The second-annual Les Borsheim Celebrity Golf Tournament is set for Sept. 4 at Water Valley’s Pelican Lakes Golf and Country Club.
Borsheim, a former Colorado Eagles hockey player, was involved in a motorcycle accident in June 2008 that left him paralyzed. He has regained limited movement in his extremities.
Last year’s inaugural event raised $30,000 for the Les Borsheim Recovery Fund. The tournament will be a scramble format with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. McKee Masters Golf Tournament Set for Sept. 11
The McKee Masters Golf Tournament will be held Friday, Sept. 11 at Mariana Butte Golf Course in Loveland.
The 18-hole scramble gets underway with an 8 a.m. start. Entry fee is $125 per player and $500 per team.

Budweiser Events Center to Host NHL Exhibition Game
The Phoenix Coyotes and Tampa Bay Lightning will play a National Hockey League exhibition game at the Budweiser Events Center on Wednesday, Sept. 23, the Colorado Eagles announced.
The game will be the second time in the BEC’s seven-year history that the arena has hosted an exhibition game. The Colorado Avalanche and Florida Panthers, the finalists in the 1996 Stanley Cup championship series, played at the Budweiser Events Center in September 2003.
