Obituary: Virginia Lee Shannon
Virginia Lee Shannon, a longtime Loveland resident, died Tuesday, Aug. 18, at the Regional West Hospital in Scottsbluff, Neb. She was 86. Mrs. Shannon was born Dec. 2, 1922 in Loveland, the daughter of Earl Wyatt and Della Thankful Armstrong. She was the youngest of five daughters. Her four sisters, Kate, Erma, Estella and Eva, preceded her in death. Mrs. Shannon attended elementary and secondary schools in Loveland, graduating from Loveland High School in 1940. Larimer County Open Lands Advisory Board Meets Aug. 27
The Larimer County Open Lands Advisory Board will meet at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27 in the multipurpose room at Loveland Library, 300 North Adams in Loveland. The meeting is open to the public. The Advisory Board will take action on final reviews of three conservation easements in the Buckeye Agricultural Area, part of the Laramie Foothills Mountains to Plains Project.
