Lions Club District 6-NE Governor
The Lions Club is still here; it’s just that there were fewer meetings this summer, but not fewer activities. The Lions cleaned the highway, loaned out items from the medical loan closet and the “eye committee” has been having regular meetings. The Community Sign has also been updated regularly.
The planning committee is busy talking to the high school about the Lions selling activity tickets. The big Lions yard sale is coming up on Sept. 11 and 12.
The lunch group still meets at noon on the second and fourth Wednesdays while the night group meets on the first and third Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.
For information about the medical closet, call Bob Talley or Curt Wilson. For help with glasses, the contacts are John Erickson are Curt Wilson. The Lions still collect used eyeglasses.
Those interested in helping others are invited to come to a Lions Club meeting or contact a member. The Lions always welcome new members.
