CITIZENS FIRST is a group of concerned citizens, many of whom attend Town Meetings and serve on Town boards. We have representatives from Planning and Zoning, Tree Board, BERT, BAHA and many other local non-profit groups.

Our goal is to bring together Berthoud residents for a better understanding of what the issues are in Berthoud and what our members are doing in the community to make Berthoud a better place. We will report your concerns to the Berthoud Town Board as a voice of the community and publish meeting reports on the Berthoud Town Forum CITIZENS FIRST thread and in local papers.

Areas of interest:

• Clean Water
• Healthy Trees
• Utilities –– We oppose the Xcel franchise fee.
• Economic Development –– We lobby for ROI, Return on Investment, to the town for incentives given to builders and developers and economic consultants.
• Aims Community College Tax District
• Charitable Causes –– We leverage our collective experience to help members promote their efforts to help the needy in our community beginning with the Christmas in Berthoud campaign.
• Town Employees and Town Board –– We support our town employees and elected officials who have been doing their best to serve our community.
