Berthoud Recorder LONGMONT — Amy Krause benefited from a sturdy defense and an offense that turned it on late as Berthoud recorded its third shutout of the season Tuesday, 11-0 at Skyline. Krause scattered seven hits over seven innings, walked five and struck out four, but it was the play of Berthoud’s defense in the middle innings and the Lady Spartans (3-1) ability to get some timely hitting in the latter innings that held Skyline at bay.
