Single parents going to school may qualify for childcare funding through United Way of Larimer County’s WomenGive program. Applications for the 2010 spring semester are being accepted now.
WomenGive’s purpose is to help women and girls achieve and maintain self-sufficiency. So far, it’s raised money to provide childcare funding for single parents in our community who want to go back to school and get their degrees. WomenGive awards what are called childcare scholarships to qualified single parents.
Applicants must be nominated by a nonprofit agency with which they are a client, by his or her training/educational facility, or a childcare provider. Applicants must review all criteria carefully and complete the appropriate application forms to be considered.
Application forms are available on the WomenGive Web site: www.WomenGiveLarimerCounty.org.
Applications are due Tuesday, Oct. 6 by close of business and must be submitted to Joy Nyenhuis, Community Investment Associate, United Way of Larimer County, 424 Pine Street, Suite 102, Fort Collins, CO 80524.
For more information, please contact Joy Nyenhuis at 970-407-7089 or via e-mail JNyenhuis@UwayLC.org.
