Colorado Smoke Health Advisory Issued

DENVER — The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment is issuing a smoke health advisory for Northwest and North-central Colorado for those individuals with heart disease, respiratory illnesses, the very young and the elderly.  Significant smoke from fires in Canada, Utah, Colorado, California and other western states will continue to cause widespread haze in Colorado on Tuesday. Smoke should gradually diminish later this afternoon and evening in most areas. (more…)

Town Administrator Interviews Cancelled

Recorder Staff The Town Administrator interviews scheduled to take place on Wednesday, Sept. 1 and Thursday, Sept. 2 with the two remaining candidates, Telluride, Colo., Town Manager Frank Bell and David Niemeyer, village manager of Oak Brook, Ill., have been cancelled. Interviews were cancelled after Niemeyer removed his name from consideration for the position. (more…)

McCain conducted in Estes Park concerning climate change, Rocky Mountain National Park, and our other national parks was reported by some as a “proof” for global warming.
