Ward in Thompson Open Race
This is an election year and there is an important race to be decided by voters. Only one of the open seats on the Thompson R2-J School Board is contested. I am one of three candidates in that race. All voters who live within the boundaries of the Thompson School District are eligible to vote for one candidate in each of the four races.

Whether you have children in public school, you should care about the Board of Education. School Board members oversee the district’s budget (your tax dollars); evaluate the effectiveness of schools; and provide a link between the district and the public.

I have a passionate belief in the worth of public schools. My three children attend public schools. I have spent many hours over the past ten years learning about the issues facing students and schools and have the time and desire to learn even more. I am an active volunteer in the schools, logging over 800 hours.

Here’s what I ask from you. Make sure you are registered to vote. The deadline is Oct. 5. Watch for your ballot in the mail starting the second week of October. Learn about the candidates, complete your ballot and return it to the Larimer County Clerk by Nov. 3.

I also ask for your vote for School Board. Learn more by visiting my Web site at www.WardforSchoolBoard.vpweb.com, or call me at 970-663-3518. Thank you.
