Nuckols, Gettman wed in Niwot
Ashley nee Nuckols and Zachery Gettman, both of Berthoud, were united in marriage Friday, Sept. 25, at the Rocky Mountain Christian Church in Niwot. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Drew Dephler, pastor of Lifebridge Christian Church. The Ptarmigan String quartet played as the bride walked down the candlelit aisle in a satin, side-draped A-line dress with embroidered beading bodice and train. Police Beat: Oct. 22, 2009
Tuesday, Oct. 13 A Ninth St. resident complained, “Barking dog in the back yard won’t stop.” All was quiet when the officer arrived. Police assisted when an off-duty police officer reported a hit-and-run incident on I-25. Police were unable to locate a careless driver at Berthoud High School. The silver SUV was reported to have been speeding in the parking lot and driving the wrong direction in a one-way zone. (more...)
Fire Beat: Oct. 22, 2009
Monday, Oct. 12 BFPD responded to Interstate 25 at mile marker 249 for a single-vehicle accident. There were no injuries. Tuesday, Oct. 13 BFPD assisted with a medical call for a possible stroke on West County Road 4. Responded to a vehicle fire on Interstate 25. A truck had light smoke coming from the engine compartment. The fire was extinguished. Wednesday, Oct. 14 BFPD responded to Interstate 25 at mile marker 250 for a two-vehicle accident. Double-time Divine: Senior cross country standout

But now Nick Divine, a BHS senior, is doing just that. Divine is a dual-sport athlete, excelling in both cross country and boys soccer. Late heroics foil BHS softball at regionals

When that didn’t work out, the Lady Spartans played again and were one out away from this weekend’s 16-team state field, also at Aurora Sports Park.
