Berthoud Fire Protection District Incident Activity for Nov. 23-29 Tuesday, Nov. 24 BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 252. This was a three-car accident with no injuries reported. Thursday, Nov. 26 BFPD responded to a four-vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 251. Audubon Club hosts “Small Mountain Owls”

The Foothills Audubon Club will meet Monday, Dec. 7, at 7 p.m. at the Berthoud Community Center, 248 Welch Avenue, Berthoud. The program will be presented by Scott Rashid, author of the recently published book “Small Mountain Owls.” He will discuss the four species found in the Rocky Mountains: the Northern Pygmy Owl, the Flammulated Owl, the Northern Sawwhet Owl and the Boreal Owl. 2009 bald eagle watches at Fossil Creek

Each year, bald eagles from the Yukon and beyond migrate south to Fort Collins to roost at Fossil Creek Regional Open Space, located off Hwy 392, just west of the Windsor/I-25 interchange.
