Citizens First meets at the Jumping Bean
By Gary Wamsley The Citizens First Civic Group held its first meeting of the year at the Jumping Bean Coffee Shop and Restaurant on Thursday evening. The meeting was chaired by Dorian Ryan Tacy, co-founder of Berthoud Town Forum and founding member of Citizens First. This was scheduled to be an organizational meeting. Commissioner Donnelly Citizen Meeting
County Commissioner Tom Donnelly held his monthly citizens' meeting at Grace Place on Wednesday, Jan 27. Special guest, Commissioner Steve Johnson, joined Donnelly for the meeting. Seven people, including Town Administrator Hart, attended the session. Donnelly said he had no prepared topics this month and opened the floor for input. The US Army Reserve comes to Thompson School District
Members of the 993rd Medical Detachment Veterinary Services came to Garfield Elementary School on Friday. The visit was the work of SPC Marissa Herbert, a member of the Army Reserve Unit and the mother of Garfield fourth grader Zalynn. Herbert said most of these kids have had no contact with people in the military and had many misconceptions. Kindergarten registration for Thompson School District
Kindergarten registration for Thompson School District for the 2010-11 school year will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 3 at all of the district's elementary schools between 3 and 6 p.m. Registration for Ponderosa Elementary will be at Erwin Middle School, 4700 Lucerne Ave.
