The staff of J. B. Clymer’s restaurant served its last meal at the corner of Fourth Street and Mountain Avenue on Valentine’s Day.

In the wake of last month’s threat of imminent seizure of the building to satisfy unpaid state sales taxes, Sharon Dowling and Shari Nixon determined that it was time to move.

At the time, Dowling said that she felt the lease contract with John Solliday had been broken by the events and certainly, the trust had been lost.

Dowling immediately began looking for a new location and entered into negotiations with the IOOF who own the building down the block that once housed Abeyta’s Main Street restaurant.

It will take approximately three weeks to complete the move and get set up at the 335 Mountain Ave. location. The plan is to reopen on Mar. 5.
