Girls Basketball

The Northern Conference is well represented with Half the teams in the Final 4 of the girls basketball. The Broomfield five elimainated Pueblo East 57-41 while Conifer ended Pueblo South’s bid 59-46.

in the other bracket, Longmont, starting as the 4th seed, bested Cheyenne Mountain 64-54 while Mullen won 64-55 over Mesa Ridge.

The Final 4 game at the CU events center on Wednesday will be Broomfield vs Connifer and Longmont vs Mullen. Of those in the final 4, only Broomfield was number 1 seed its reagion.

Boys Basketball

The Northern Conference will have one representative in the Final 4. Sterling is out and Longmont is still in the game. Note that Longmont has both a boys and girls team in the final four.

Sterling lost to Lewis Palmer by a score of 50-38 while Sierra won decisively over Thomas Jefferson 65-43. In the other regions Pueblo East is the only Pueblo team remaining as they had a close game with Broomfield, 68-63 in overtime. Longmont eliminated Pueblo Central 63-54. The Wednesday games will be Sierra vs Louis Palmer at 4 p.m. and Longmont will face Pueblo East at 5:30 p.m.
