Larimer County, Colorado – As the State of Colorado struggles through a severe budget crisis, many senior citizens are wondering how it will impact their lives. The suspension of the Colorado Homestead Exemption is one example of this impact.
A forum will be held on Saturday, March 20 from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the Fort Collins Senior Center, 1200 Raintree Drive. The forum is sponsored by: AARP (American Association of Retired Persons) Colorado, the City of Fort Collins and the Larimer County Office on Aging. The forum is free of charge.
Speakers at the forum are Mark Neuman-Lee from the Colorado Fiscal Policy Institute and Greg Glischinski from AARP Colorado. The speakers will address Colorado’s economy, the impact on the State budget, and specifics about funding for senior services and the Homestead Exemption.
