Larimer County – On Tuesday, June 1, weather permitting, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will close all lanes of northbound I-25 between State Highway (SH) 402 and US Highway 34 for utility work. The closure will be in place from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. In addition, there will be intermittent closures of southbound I-25 between US 34 and SH 402 during the same hours.
A detour route will be in place that takes motorists off at SH 402 and over to the East Frontage Road. Once on the East Frontage Road, go north to US 34 where access to northbound I-25 is available. Delays are expected on northbound and southbound I-25 and alternate routes are advised. CDOT would like to remind motorists to plan ahead, stay alert and “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
All lanes of northbound I-25 at SH 402 will reopen by 5 a.m. Wednesday.
