Berthoud Fire Protection District Incident activity for June 2010 Tuesday, June 1 BFPD responded to a report of power lines down on Sixth Street and Welch Avenue. This was a phone line down and Qwest was notified for repairs. BFPD responded to a bicyclist hit on Taft Avenue. The patient was transported. First Colorado case of West Nile confirmed
DENVER – The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has received its first confirmed case of West Nile virus in 2010. Heading into the holiday weekend, health department officials advise people to take precautions against West Nile virus by wearing insect repellent and using other methods to avoid mosquito bites when outdoors.
