Bike Rodeo Awards
Earlier this month several area children attended the Berthoud Public Safety Day and Bike Rodeo [1]. Co-sponsored by the Town of Berthoud and the Berthoud Fire Protection District, the event was designed to make the children safer riders. After having their bicycles inspected and receiving an update on the rules of the road, the riders participated in a Bike Rodeo.
The seven events in the rodeo were designed to be fun and to teach road manners and bicycle agility and performance. Each event was monitored by an adult volunteer who graded each rider’s performance. Each event was worth up to 10 points.
The scorecards have been tallied and the winners will receive their trophies on Wednesday, August 25. Berthoud mayor, the Honorable Tom Patterson will make the presentations beginning at 4 p.m. in the town hall boardroom.
