Pauline was born in Berthoud, Colorado, on November 9, 1916, to John Henry and Christina (Urbach) Giebelhaus. Pauline married Fred Steving in Fort Collins, Colorado, on September 12, 1937. The Berthoud High School soccer team continues to roll with its high scoring  and solid defense, winning over Holy Family High School 5 - 0. The Spartans have won all three games played against non-conference opponents with 20 goals scored and only 4 goals against.
