Harry Bernhardt July 4, 1920 – September 19, 2010 Harry Bernhardt, 90, of Berthoud, died September 19, 2010 at Longmont United Hospital. He was born July 4, 1920 in Loveland to John and Ann Marie (Bath) Bernhardt. He was raised in Loveland and attended Loveland schools. Harry married Helen “Irene” Hopp on December 2, 1938 in Brighton. BERTHOUD— The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has begin a traffic signal upgrade project on State Highway 56 at Fourth Street in Berthoud. The project will replace the span wire traffic signal with poles and mast arms. “Span wire traffic signals use older equipment and technology, ” said CDOT Traffic Operations Engineer Larry Haas. “The new signal will require less maintenance and will operate more efficiently. ” In order to construct the new signal, the ...
