Berthoud Cross Country Girls to State

The 3A Region #4 Cross Country Meet was held on Thursday, Oct. 21 at Lyons High School. The girls took second place overall and that makes them the Girls 3A Region #4 Runnerup and they are headed to state! Emma Otto placed FIRST! Spartans Drop State Title Game to Finish Second By Dan Karpiel Sports Writer The Berthoud Spartans softball team capped off a stellar season with a second-place finish in the 3A state tournament held on Friday and Saturday at the Aurora Sports Complex. Berthoud's three touchdowns in the first quarter put them ahead at the half. However, Erie came up with a score in the third period and held Berthoud scoreless in the second half.
