Slices of Life, by Jill Pertler

Slices of Life, by Jill Pertler

A woman who tells you where to go By: Jill Pertler My husband has a new lady friend. He shares her with our three sons, who are also sweet on the most recent family acquaintance. They are, in a word, enamored. Under normal circumstances, I might feel threatened – what with my four guys throwing their rapt attention toward another woman’s voice – but these aren’t normal circumstances. That’s because the woman in question, we call her “Carmen,” isn’t a female in the true sense ... Full Story

Of course you really cannot see the stars, but they are there. Cool image of daytime moon from December 18, 2010 The constellation behind the sun around now is ... Full Story

Alfred Hitchcock Never Won an Oscar: Go Figure

By John W. Whitehead 2/21/2011 “Everything’s perverted in a different way, isn’t it?”—Alfred Hitchcock Do you ever wonder why some of the greatest performers and directors of all time have never won an Oscar? In a career spanning half a century ... Full Story

Sky Tonight—Feb 21, Zodiacal light is glowing pyramid in west after dark

This light can be noticeable and easy to see from latitudes like those in the southern U.S. I’ve seen it many times from the latitude of ... Full Story
