Public Asked to Stay Away from Crystal Fire Date: April 8, 2011 The Larimer County Sheriff's Office is requesting the public to stay away from the Crystal Fire burn area. Residents in the Crystal Fire area who lost property are asked to call Larimer County Emergency Manager Erik Nilsson to report their loss. The number is 970-498-5310. If the number is busy or there is no answer, they should leave a voicemail message with their contact information. Crystal fire: April 8-Progress amid changing weather
Fort Collins, CO – Winds are expected to increase today as crews continue to construct and secure fire lines along the perimeter of the fire. A Red Flag warning has not been posted for the burn area, though lower relative humidity and warmer temperatures are expected.
