Teacher Appreciation night at BOE meeting
It is teacher appreciation week in the Thompson School District and it was Teacher Appreciation night at the Thompson Board of Education meeting on Wednesday night. This recognition for teachers comes from students and plays to a packed house at the district headquarters. Following the suicide of a Turner Middle School eighth-grader in March there has been a great deal of talk about bullying in the Berthoud Schools. Tuesday saw two separate events about bullying. Many definitions of bullying were expressed at these meetings, but the basic tenets were the same. Lady Spartans Place Fifth in R2-J Invitational By Dan Karpiel Sports Writer The Berthoud High School girls golf team competed in the R2-J league meet on Thursday at the hilly Mariana Butte Golf Course in Loveland. As a team, the Lady Spartans finished in fifth place out of the six teams competing from the Northern League of class 4A.
