To the Editor:

I would like to thank Berthoud Community Library patrons for their generosity in donating food for the Berthoud House of Neighborly Service as part of our adult summer reading program. Since May 23, you have donated 213 pounds of food.

Summer tends to be a time when food banks experience fewer donations, so two years ago the library added, “Bring a Food Donation” to the summer program bingo card in order to help another important community agency. Our adult summer reading program doesn’t end until September 3^rd so you still have time to start your own bingo card and experience the variety of services, programs and resource at your library. I think we could easily reach 400 pounds of food donations.

This summer we have received many, many compliments from the community. I would like to tell you that the entire staff at the Berthoud Community Library greatly enjoys working with all of you. We love our library because of you, our patrons.
